As Pinterest Japan’s Senior Lead of Creator Marketing, Allie Sakakibara has a true passion for the online Creator space.
Originally hailing from the Midwestern United States, she moved to Japan to pursue her Bachelor’s degree at Sophia University, graduating in 2008. She started her career as an Engineer at Oracle Japan, followed by a sales career at Google Japan, and entered the world of working alongside Creators at YouTube Japan. She then became the head of Content at Discovery Channel Japan, launching 6 online brands in 3.5 years, totaling 530 Million+ views. Since February 2022, she joined Pinterest Japan to lead the Creator Marketing organization which aims to communicate that Pinterest is the platform to cultivate a passionate and positive community, and has been spearheading campaigns to drive the message home.
